Cinema
Cinema. The last of the seven arts and the most popular today. A mixture of crappy, not so bad, good, excellent and marvelous movies, as is all art actually. This visual and audio experience begins not so long ago, a bit more than 100 years back from now. From the black and white technology and mute films with the backing piano of a musician in the theater, to special effects and big money making of today’s rubbish blockbusters. Don’t take this wrong, not all blockbusters are bad, but most stink pretty much. Movies are all about team working, team fantasy, team spirit, team satisfaction and friendship. Some times there are problems between the crew since every one likes to stand out as an “artist”. It’s not like being a painter and receiving all the fame and appreciation for your self. Yes lots of people are greedy and don’t like to share. Cinema of course is very seriously influenced by old classical painters. Rembrandt has a big influence on cinematographers for his lightning techniques. Literature plays a big role in making directors what they are. Probably lots of both things, including music, makes a editor what he is.
